Empire (Nw Embankment), also known as the New Empire Reservoir, is a private water resource located in Weld County, Colorado. This reservoir serves multiple purposes, including fish and wildlife pond, irrigation, and recreation. It was completed in 1905 and has a storage capacity of 51,900 acre-feet, with a normal storage level of 37,710 acre-feet. The dam is of earth type, standing at 35 feet high and 1,900 feet long, creating a surface area of 2,842 acres.

Managed by the Colorado Department of Water Resources, Empire (Nw Embankment) is regulated, permitted, inspected, and enforced by the state. The reservoir is situated along the South Platte River, offering vital support for the surrounding ecosystem and recreational activities.
