Pond 2, also known as Glissons Mill Pond, is a Federal-owned recreational water resource located in Claxton, Georgia. Constructed in 1966 by the US Army, the earth dam stands at a height of 10 feet and has a hydraulic height of 7 feet, with a storage capacity of 312 acre-feet. The primary purpose of Pond 2 is for fish and wildlife habitat as well as recreation, offering visitors a serene environment to enjoy the surrounding natural beauty.

With a surface area of 56 acres and a drainage area of 10 acres, Pond 2 is fed by the Tr-Canoochee River and has a maximum discharge rate of 546 cubic feet per second. The dam features an uncontrolled spillway with a width of 58 feet and other controlled outlet gates. Despite its low hazard potential, the risk assessment for Pond 2 is rated as moderate (3), indicating a level of risk management measures in place to ensure the safety and integrity of the structure. Regular inspections are conducted, with the last one taking place in February 2018, to assess the condition and maintenance needs of Pond 2.
