Walden Pond Dam, located in Shawnee, Kansas, is a privately owned earth dam that was completed in 1937 for the primary purpose of recreation. This dam stands at a height of 24 feet and has a hydraulic height of 24 feet, with a structural height of 25 feet. It spans a length of 500 feet and has a maximum storage capacity of 58.6 acre-feet, providing water for recreational use on its 5-acre surface area.

Despite being a source of recreation, Walden Pond Dam has a high hazard potential and is categorized as having a fair condition assessment.
