LK Brownwood Reservoir is located in Brownwood, Texas and was created in 1933 with the construction of the Brownwood Dam.
The reservoir is supplied by the Pecan Bayou, a tributary of the Colorado River. It serves as a primary water source for the city of Brownwood and surrounding areas. The reservoir has a capacity of 83,000 acre-feet and is used for irrigation, municipal water supply, and recreation. In terms of surface flow, the Pecan Bayou provides the majority of inflow, while snowpack is not a significant factor for this region.
