Located in Estill, Kentucky, the Poer Dam, also known as Poer Lake, is a private-owned structure regulated by the Kentucky Division of Water. Completed in 1966, this earth dam stands 28 feet tall and spans 420 feet along TR-Twin Creek. The dam serves the primary purpose of irrigation, with a storage capacity of 67.5 acre-feet and a normal storage level of 40.3 acre-feet.
With a low hazard potential and a moderate risk assessment rating, the Poer Dam is not currently rated in terms of condition assessment.
