Located in Estill, Kentucky, the Poer Dam, also known as Poer Lake, is a private-owned structure regulated by the Kentucky Division of Water. Completed in 1966, this earth dam stands 28 feet tall and spans 420 feet along TR-Twin Creek. The dam serves the primary purpose of irrigation, with a storage capacity of 67.5 acre-feet and a normal storage level of 40.3 acre-feet.

With a low hazard potential and a moderate risk assessment rating, the Poer Dam is not currently rated in terms of condition assessment. The dam features an uncontrolled spillway and has not been modified in recent years. While inspection frequency is set at every five years, the last recorded inspection took place in March 2005.
