Brown Pond Dam, also known as Mary Brown Dam, is a private earth dam located in Richland, South Carolina. Completed in 1971, the dam stands at a height of 32 feet and stretches 380 feet in length. Its primary purpose is for recreation, with a normal storage capacity of 58 acre-feet and a maximum storage of 71 acre-feet. The dam is situated on Twenty-Five Mile Creek, under the jurisdiction of the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control.
Despite being classified as having a low hazard potential, Brown Pond Dam is considered to be in fair condition based on a 2017 assessment.
