Erickson Dam No 1, located in San Juan, Washington, is a privately owned structure that serves the primary purpose of recreation. Completed in 1964, this earth dam stands at a hydraulic height of 13 feet and a structural height of 11 feet, with a length of 225 feet. The dam has a storage capacity of 53 acre-feet, with a normal storage level of 47 acre-feet and a surface area of 47 acres. It is situated on the Tr-False Bay river/stream, within the Seattle District, and falls under the regulatory jurisdiction of the Washington Department of Ecology.

Although Erickson Dam No 1 has a low hazard potential, its condition assessment is not rated as it was last inspected in January 2000. The dam has not been modified in recent years and does not have an emergency action plan (EAP) in place. Despite these limitations, the dam continues to provide recreational benefits to the surrounding community. With its stone core and soil foundation, Erickson Dam No 1 stands as a testament to the importance of maintaining and monitoring water resource infrastructure for both safety and enjoyment.
