North Logan Detention Dam, located in Fremont, Wyoming, is a gravity dam built in 1952 by the Bureau of Land Management for fire protection, stock, and a small fish pond. Situated on the North Logan Draw, this dam has a hydraulic height of 21 feet and a structural height of 25 feet. With a normal storage capacity of 180 acre-feet and a maximum storage of 552.8 acre-feet, the dam covers a surface area of 40.5 acres and spans a length of 845 feet.

Despite its low hazard potential, North Logan Detention Dam is in poor condition according to the last inspection conducted in July 2017. The dam has no outlet gates and features an uncontrolled spillway. While the risk assessment categorizes it as moderate, there is room for improvement in its maintenance and emergency preparedness measures. With Liz Cheney (R) as the Congressional representative for the area, there is an opportunity to address the dam's condition and ensure its continued effectiveness in managing water resources in the region.
