Bogus Basin is a popular ski resort in Idaho with 2,600 acres of skiable terrain. The best trails are the Paradise and Shafer Butte trails. Few people know that the resort was once home to the U.S. Forest Service's Fire Control Center during World War II. For beginner skiers, the Pioneer Lodge area has gentle slopes and a magic carpet lift. For an apres ski drink, the Simplot Lodge Bar is a great spot with a cozy atmosphere and stunning views of the valley.
