About the Area


Brundage Mountain Resort is located in the Payette National Forest in Idaho. The resort is situated in the Salmon River Mountains of the Rocky Mountains range. The highest peak in the area is Brundage Mountain, which has an elevation of 7,640 feet. The ski resort offers a variety of terrain for all levels of skiers and snowboarders, with over 1,500 acres of skiable terrain and 46 named trails. The resort also offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains, including the Seven Devils Mountains and the Wallowa Mountains.

The resort is known for its tree skiing with steep, challenging runs like Hidden Valley and Temptation. For beginners, Easy Street and Explorer are great trails to start on. Brundage Mountain also has a unique historical fact - it was originally used as a landing strip for the US Forest Service in the 1930s.
