Diamond Peak ski resort is a hidden gem located in Incline Village, Nevada, offering breathtaking views of Lake Tahoe. The resort boasts a variety of runs, with beginner and intermediate trails being the most popular. The best trails for experienced skiers are Crystal Ridge and Solitude Canyon. A little-known fact is that Diamond Peak was originally called Ski Incline, and it was the first ski resort built in the area, opening in 1966. For beginners, the best trail is School Yard, a gentle slope with a beginner terrain park. The Snowflake Lodge is the best apres ski bar, with a cozy atmosphere and great drinks. Diamond Peak is a top choice for a fun-filled skiing experience.


Terrain Overview

Diamond Peak Ski Resort is located in the Sierra Nevada mountain range in Nevada. The mountain itself is part of the Carson Range, which is a subrange of the Sierra Nevada. Diamond Peak has a summit elevation of 8,540 feet and offers skiers and snowboarders a vertical drop of 1,840 feet.

The terrain at Diamond Peak includes a variety of runs for all levels of skiers and snowboarders, from beginner to expert. The resort has a total of 655 acres of skiable terrain, with the longest run being 2.5 miles. Diamond Peak also offers panoramic views of Lake Tahoe and the surrounding mountains.

Some of the notable mountain aspects of Diamond Peak Ski Resort include its North Bowl area, which offers challenging terrain for advanced skiers and snowboarders, as well as its beginner-friendly School House area.
