Leavenworth Ski Hill is a small ski resort in Washington State, known for its family-friendly atmosphere and affordable prices. A little-known fact is that the ski resort was originally built by the US Army in 1928 as a training ground for soldiers to learn to ski. For beginner skiers, the resort offers a Magic Carpet conveyor lift that is perfect for learning to ski. After a day on the slopes, visitors can head to the Rhein Haus for some apres-ski fun with German beer and bratwurst. Particulate matter (PM2.5) may reach Unhealthy and Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups levels. Health Impacts and Recommended Actions: When air quality is Unhealthy, everyone should reduce exposure. When air quality is Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups, sensitive groups should take steps to reduce exposure. Limit time outside, avoid strenuous outdoor activity, and follow tips for cleaner indoor air. Everyone should watch for symptoms as a sign to reduce exposure. Agricultural and outdoor burning restrictions are in effect.
