Gold Bluffs Beach camping area is located in the Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park in northern California. This camping area is known for its stunning views of the Pacific Ocean and surrounding redwoods. The campground offers access to a secluded beach, where visitors can enjoy beachcombing, tide pooling, and fishing.

Nearby points of interest include the Fern Canyon Trail, which features lush ferns and a creek running through the canyon, as well as a herd of Roosevelt Elk that can often be spotted grazing in the park.

The Gold Bluffs Beach campground amenities include 26 campsites, each with a fire pit and picnic table. Potable water is available at the campground, but there are no hookups or showers. The campground also features a small convenience store and a visitor center.

Interesting facts about the area include that Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park is home to the largest old-growth redwood forest left in the world. The park is also a designated World Heritage Site and Biosphere Reserve.

The best time of year to visit the Gold Bluffs Beach camping area is from June to September when the average daytime temperature ranges from 60-70 degrees Fahrenheit. However, visitors are advised to bring warm clothing as temperatures can drop significantly at night. It is also important to note that the campground is only accessible by a dirt road, which can be closed during inclement weather.
