Summary

Reservations and permits aren’t required, but there’s a modest nightly fee. Amenities include picnic tables, fire rings with grills, vault toilets, and potable water (seasonal). RVs up to 22 feet are welcome, though there are no hookups. Nestled in a mixed conifer forest near the Kern River, the campground offers a peaceful, shaded setting ideal for relaxing or hiking nearby trails like Cannell Meadow. Fishing and wildlife viewing are popular. Best visited May–October for warm days and cool nights. No cell service—expect a quiet, rustic experience.
