Lower Pines is a popular camping area in Yosemite National Park, California. It offers stunning views of Half Dome, Yosemite Falls, and the Merced River. Nearby points of interest include hiking trails, the Yosemite Valley Visitor Center, and the Ansel Adams Gallery. The campground has amenities such as flushing toilets, drinking water, and picnic tables. Reservations are recommended and can be made up to six months in advance. The camping area has 60 campsites available on a first-come, first-served basis from September through May. The best time to visit is from May to September when temperatures range from 50°F to 80°F. It’s advised to bring insect repellent as mosquitoes can be abundant in the area.
