No reservations are needed; most sites are first-come, first-served. There are no fees for dispersed camping, but developed sites may charge a small fee. Amenities vary—some sites have pit toilets, picnic tables, and fire rings, but no water or hookups. RVs can access some areas, though without hookups. Set in a scenic, high-alpine forest near the Continental Divide, it’s a peaceful spot with access to Colorado Trail segments, Monarch Crest Trail, and hot springs nearby. Best visited June–September for mild weather and accessible trails.
