The campground offers amenities such as picnic tables, fire pits, and vault toilets. Reservations are available for some sites, while others are first-come-first-serve. There are a total of 27 campsites available. An interesting fact about the area is that it is named after the nearby Thirty Mile Peak, which was originally thought to be thirty miles from the town of Hahns Peak. However, it is actually only eight miles away. The best time to visit is during the summer months of June to September, with average temperatures ranging from the mid-60s to mid-70s Fahrenheit. This is a beautiful time to explore the area's hiking trails and enjoy the cool mountain air.
