Sylvia Lake Campground is a scenic camping area located in Montana's Flathead National Forest. The surrounding views of the Rocky Mountains are breathtaking, providing a peaceful and tranquil environment for campers. The campground sits at an elevation of 3,400 feet, and the lake itself covers 87 acres, providing a great spot for swimming and fishing.

There are several points of interest nearby, including Glacier National Park, which is just a short drive away. Visitors can also explore the nearby towns of Kalispell and Whitefish, which offer a variety of shops, restaurants, and activities.

The campground offers 25 campsites, each with a picnic table and fire ring. There are also vault toilets and potable water available. The campground is first-come, first-served, so it is important to arrive early to secure a spot.

One interesting fact about the area is that it was once home to a historic fire lookout tower, which was used to spot forest fires in the surrounding area. While the tower is no longer in use, visitors can still see the structure during their stay.

The best time of year to visit the campground is during the summer months, from June to August, when temperatures average around 70 degrees Fahrenheit during the day and 40 degrees Fahrenheit at night. This is also the best time for swimming and fishing in the lake. Overall, Sylvia Lake Campground offers a peaceful and scenic camping experience in one of Montana's most beautiful areas.
