No reservations are needed—camping is first-come, first-served, and there are no fees. Amenities include pit toilets, picnic tables, and fire rings; however, there’s no potable water, so bring your own. RVs are allowed, but there are no hookups. Set in a scenic, forested canyon with Eagle Creek flowing nearby, the area is peaceful and less crowded. Nearby attractions include Yellowstone’s East Entrance and hiking trails like Eagle Creek Trail. Summer through early fall is the best time to visit for pleasant weather and trail access.
