* WHAT...Flooding caused by rain and snowmelt continues to be possible. * WHERE...The following areas, Central Susitna Valley, Southern Susitna Valley and Western Susitna Valley. This includes the communities of Skwentna, Willow, Talkeetna, Trapper Creek, And Petersville. * WHEN...Through Saturday morning. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Storm drains and ditches may be clogged by ice. Flooding may occur in poor drainage areas. Frozen ground, patchy snow/ice melt with the lack of drainage, and excessive runoff may result in the flooding of creeks, streams, low-water crossings, and other low-lying areas and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - An atmospheric river will continue to bring ample rainfall up Cook Inlet and into the Susitna Valley through Saturday. Continued 1 to 2 inches of rainfall total through the rest of this week with the highest amounts west of the Parks Highway. Forecast totals could be more variable toward the Willow area. Another round of heavy rainfall will occur overnight tonight, lasting into Friday morning. A final, but less intense, round of rain is expected Friday night and into Saturday.
