The ideal streamflow range for this section of the river is between 300 and 800 cfs. The class rating for Duck Creek is class IV-V, making it a challenging and exciting run for experienced paddlers. The segment mileage of Duck Creek is approximately 4 miles.
There are several notable rapids and obstacles on Duck Creek, including Entrance Rapid, Boulder Garden, and S-Turn. Entrance Rapid is a steep drop with a technical entrance, and Boulder Garden consists of a series of boulder-strewn drops and tight channels. S-Turn is a challenging section of the river with a steep drop and a tight S-shaped channel.
