Summary

While the snowpack is currently 50% below average and snowfall has been slow to arrive this season, a slight dusting of 0.2 inches is forecasted over the next 72 hours—enough to freshen the slopes but not significantly build the base. Groomed runs remain the best option for turns, as off-piste terrain remains thin and patchy.

Despite the low snow totals, spirits remain high at Badger Mountain. The resort is drawing attention for offering the most affordable lift tickets in the West, making it a go-to choice for budget-conscious skiers and families. Major updates are also on the horizon, with plans announced to replace the 86-year-old Vista Hut—breathing new life into this historic ski area. While many Washington resorts face delayed openings or closures due to poor snow conditions, Badger Mountain has remained operational, offering a modest but welcoming alpine escape to close out the year.
