The snowpack stands at 5 inches—thin, but enough for early-season enthusiasts to carve some careful turns. While no significant snow is forecasted in the next 72 hours (only 0.29 inches expected), snowmaking efforts are in full swing to maintain coverage on open trails. Expect firm, machine-groomed conditions with occasional thin spots—ideal for intermediate skiers who appreciate a challenge.
In local developments, the Bousquet community is reflecting on the recent passing of the ski area's owner—a figure instrumental in revitalizing the mountain in recent years. The torch has since been passed to local investors, promising continued growth and community-focused improvements. With Massachusetts ramping up outdoor recreation funding statewide, including $7.5M to improve trails and a $2.5M donation to develop mountain bike infrastructure, Bousquet is poised to benefit from the momentum. While wildlife sightings across the state—from mountain lions to coyotes—have made regional headlines, the slopes remain peaceful, inviting, and full of early-season promise.
