About the Area


Whitetail Ski Resort is located in the Appalachian Mountain range in Pennsylvania. The resort is situated on two main peaks: Whitetail Mountain and Blue Mountain. Whitetail Mountain has a summit elevation of 1,800 feet and Blue Mountain has a summit elevation of 1,500 feet. The resort offers a variety of terrain for skiers and snowboarders of all levels, including beginner slopes, intermediate runs, and challenging black diamond trails. Whitetail Ski Resort is known for its well-groomed slopes, modern lift system, and scenic views of the surrounding mountains.

The resort offers 23 trails for skiers of all levels, with the best trails being Snow Park, Fanciful, and Limelight. Interestingly, the resort was built on land that was once a fruit farm in the 1970s. For beginner skiers, the resort provides a variety of easy trails such as Sidetrack and Home Run. The best apres ski bar is the Black Bear Tavern, which offers a cozy atmosphere with a wide range of drinks and delicious pub food.
