Nestled in a high-alpine forest at ~10,000 feet, the campground provides a serene, rustic experience with stunning views of the surrounding peaks. Popular with hikers accessing the Cottonwood Pass and New Army Pass trails into the John Muir Wilderness. Best visited late June through September when roads are open and snow-free.
