Tamarack Valley Campground is a beautiful camping area located in the heart of California's Sierra Nevada Mountains. The campground is equipped with a variety of amenities, including picnic tables, fire rings, and restrooms.

The campground operates on a first-come-first-serve basis and offers 30 campsites that can accommodate both tents and RVs. Nearby points of interest include the John Muir Wilderness, the Mammoth Lakes Basin, and the Ansel Adams Wilderness.

An interesting fact about the area is that it was once a popular spot for gold mining in the mid-1800s. Visitors can still find remnants of old mining structures throughout the nearby mountains.
