It offers established campsites with picnic tables, fire rings, pedestal grills, pit toilets, and potable water—no RV hookups, but RVs are allowed. Surrounded by pine forest at 7,400 feet, the area offers a peaceful, scenic alpine setting ideal for fishing, hiking, and wildlife viewing. Nearby trails include Lake Alpine Loop and Inspiration Point. Summer (June–September) is the best time to visit, as snow can linger into early summer. Reservations are required via Recreation.gov, and no dispersed camping is allowed within the group site area.
