Reservations are recommended via Recreation.gov; fees are typically around $22/night. Amenities include vault toilets, potable water (seasonal), picnic tables, fire rings, and grills. RVs are welcome, but there are no hookups. Nestled in a high-alpine meadow at 10,000 feet, the campground is surrounded by aspen groves—particularly stunning in the fall. The Colorado Trail passes through, offering excellent hiking and biking. The vibe is peaceful and scenic, ideal for nature lovers. The best time to visit is late summer through early fall for mild weather and vibrant foliage.
