There’s a small nightly fee. Amenities include vault toilets, hand-pump drinking water, fire rings, picnic tables, and RV access (no hookups). Set in a shady, high-elevation forest near Lucky Peak and Mores Creek Summit, it’s a quiet, scenic basecamp for hiking, fishing, and ATV riding. Nearby attractions include the Idaho City backcountry trails and the Crooked River. Open seasonally (May–September), the best time to visit is late summer when wildflowers bloom and trails are dry. Rustic, peaceful, and nature-focused.
