There’s a small fee to camp. Amenities include pit toilets, picnic tables, fire rings, and potable water (seasonal). RVs are welcome, but there are no hookups. The campground sits in a peaceful forested valley near the North Umpqua River, ideal for hikers and horseback riders accessing the North Umpqua Trail and Dread and Terror Segment. The scenery is lush and tranquil, with old-growth trees and cool mountain air. Late spring through early fall is the best time to visit for trail access and mild weather.
