The class rating for this stretch of the river is a Class III-IV, meaning it is suitable for intermediate to advanced rafters. The total segment mileage is approximately 9 miles, with several notable rapids and obstacles along the way.

Some of the most significant rapids on this section of the Whitewater River Run include The Jaws, which is a Class IV rapid with a narrow chute and a large boulder blocking the way. Other notable rapids include Mixmaster, a technical Class III rapid that requires precise maneuvering, and T-Bone, a Class III+ rapid with a large boulder in the middle of the river.
