ESFMFR Rain is expected Tuesday through Tuesday night with the highest amounts of around 1 to 2 inches from Curry County into western Josephine County. An atmospheric river is then expected to be aimed at western Oregon. Heavy rain is likely to begin early Thursday and continue into Friday. Rainfall of 3 to 6 inches, with highest amounts likely in Curry County, will cause quick river and creek rises. There is the potential for river flooding in Coos, Curry, Douglas, and Josephine counties. Landslides and ponding of water on roadways are also possible hazards. The exact scenario for flooding remains uncertain. This product will be updated as necessary. Watches and warnings may be issued by the National Weather Service if this situation worsens.
