Beardsley Lake is a reservoir located in the Stanislaus National Forest near Strawberry, California. The lake was created in the 1950s to provide water for hydroelectric power generation, irrigation, and recreation. The hydrology of the lake is fed by the Middle Fork Stanislaus River and Beaver Creek. In addition, snowpack from the Sierra Nevada Mountains provides significant surface flow to the lake. The lake is also used for agricultural irrigation and as a recreational destination for boating, fishing, and camping.
