With a high hazard potential, the dam is regulated by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation and undergoes regular inspections, with the last one conducted in May 2019. While the condition assessment is currently not rated, the Emergency Action Plan was last revised in January 2020, indicating preparedness for potential risks associated with the dam.
