About the Area


The Berkshire East Ski Area in Massachusetts is located in the Berkshire Mountains. The ski resort is situated on the eastern side of the mountain range, offering skiers and snowboarders stunning views of the surrounding area. The ski area features a variety of terrain, including beginner slopes, intermediate runs, and challenging black diamond trails. The highest point at Berkshire East is 1,840 feet above sea level, providing a vertical drop of 1,180 feet. The mountain aspect of Berkshire East Ski Area is generally northeast-facing, which helps to preserve the quality of the snow on the slopes and provides excellent conditions for skiing and snowboarding.

The resort boasts of a variety of trails that cater to all skill levels, with the expert trails being the most popular. One interesting fact that most people do not know is that the resort was once a working farm, and the land was donated by the original owner to the state of Massachusetts for public recreation purposes. For beginners, the lower-mountain trails are the best, and there are plenty of beginner-friendly lessons available. The Crazy Horse Bar and Grill is the best apres ski bar with a great selection of drinks and food.
