About the Area

North York Ski Centre, also known as Earl Bales Ski and Snowboard Centre, is a small ski resort located in Toronto, Ontario. The resort offers six runs of varying difficulty, with the best beginner trail being Easy Street. An interesting fact about the resort is that it was originally built in the 1950s as a landfill site and was later transformed into a ski centre in the 1970s. For beginners, it is recommended to take the Ski or Snowboard Discovery package which includes a lesson, equipment rental, and lift ticket. There is no apres ski bar at the resort, but nearby options include The Frog in the nearby neighbourhood of York Mills.
