Summary

While the current snowpack depth sits at 18 inches—roughly 35% below average for this time of year—the slopes remain open and rideable, with a solid base forming thanks to sustained cold. Powder seekers have reason to celebrate: the forecast calls for 6.6 inches of fresh snow in the next 24 hours, with totals climbing to 14 inches over the next five days. This new snow will greatly enhance surface conditions, especially for weekend riders eager for softer turns and improved coverage.

Although local news sources report no major disruptions or events today, riders are encouraged to stay updated on changing weather and terrain reports. With a Snow Water Equivalent (SWE) of 3.1 inches, the snowpack remains on the drier side—ideal for light, fluffy powder. Cherry Peak’s grooming crews are hard at work prepping trails, and with more snow inbound, conditions are set to improve just in time for early December adventures. Dust off your gear and carve into a promising start to the season!
