...HIGH IMPACT WINTER STORMS FOR SISKIYOU COUNTY... .Two winter storms will likely bring heavy snowfall to Siskiyou County above 4500 feet. The snow level late Monday night through Tuesday night will be around 5000 to 6000 feet. Then, it will gradually lower during the second storm Wednesday evening into early Friday. Snow levels will be around 4500 feet, though possibly falling to around 3500 feet Thursday night into Friday. * WHAT...Wet snow expected. Additional snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches, including a storm total of 12 to 16 inches near Crater Lake. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph over high and exposed terrain. * WHERE...Elevations above 5000 feet in the southern Oregon Cascades north of Mt. McLoughlin. This includes the following passes or notable locations...Diamond Lake, Crater Lake National Park, Willamette Pass, and portions of highways 62, 138, 230, and 58. * WHEN...Until 4 AM PST Monday. * IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. Plan on slippery road conditions and delays in your commute.
