The Roaring Brook Ski Area in New York is located in the Taconic Mountains, a subrange of the Appalachian Mountains. The ski resort is situated on the slopes of Catamount Mountain, with terrain that includes a mix of beginner, intermediate, and advanced ski runs. The highest point at Roaring Brook Ski Area reaches an elevation of approximately 1,700 feet.

The resort has a good mix of beginner, intermediate, and advanced trails. The most popular trails are the black diamond runs on the East side of the resort, which offer challenging terrain and stunning views. A little-known fact about the resort is that it was originally built by local farmers in the 1930s as a place to ski for fun. For beginners, the best trail is the Bunny Hill, which is perfect for learning the basics of skiing. The best apres ski bar is The Lodge, which offers a cozy atmosphere and delicious drinks.
