Summary

The mountain is expecting over 6 inches of snow within the next 24 hours and up to 8 inches in the next five days, setting the stage for increasingly favorable conditions as the weekend approaches. Although the current snowpack depth sits at just 4 inches—about 60% of the average for this time of year—this incoming snow could be the refresh skiers have been waiting for. Overnight temperatures hovered around 37°F, so expect a mix of soft, groomed runs and some variable surfaces early in the morning.

While excitement builds for the new snow, it’s important for guests to stay alert. A recent tragic incident occurred when a 63-year-old skier lost his life after colliding with a tree at Belleayre. Skiers are urged to use caution, especially near tree lines or less-patrolled areas. Despite the somber news, Belleayre continues to shine as one of New York’s top family-friendly resorts, with recent upgrades keeping it competitive among the best within five hours of NYC. With more snow on the way, now’s the time to carve into winter—safely.
