About the Area


The Snowy Range Ski Resort is located in the Medicine Bow-Routt National Forest in southeastern Wyoming, United States. The resort is situated within the Snowy Range Mountains, a sub-range of the larger Medicine Bow Mountains.

Some of the prominent peaks in the Snowy Range Mountains include Medicine Bow Peak, Sugarloaf Mountain, and Browns Peak. The resort offers skiing and snowboarding opportunities on these mountains, with a variety of runs catering to all levels of experience.

The Snowy Range Ski Resort also features a vertical drop of over 1,000 feet, with the summit elevation reaching around 10,000 feet. The resort boasts stunning views of the surrounding mountains and forests, making it a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts in the region.

The resort offers 27 runs, including some of the best beginner and intermediate slopes in the area. Snowy Range also boasts a historical fact that most people may not know - it was once a training ground for the 10th Mountain Division during World War II. For beginner skiers, the resort offers a dedicated learning area with a magic carpet lift and gentle slopes. As for après-ski, the Snowy Mountain Brewery is a popular spot to grab a drink and relax after a day on the slopes.
