Luders Creek Camping Area is located in the Uncompahgre National Forest near Silverton, Colorado. The campground offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and forests, making it a popular destination for hiking and fishing enthusiasts. Nearby points of interest include the Animas River, the Million Dollar Highway, and the historic town of Silverton. The campground has 16 first-come-first-serve sites, each with a picnic table and fire ring. Amenities include vault toilets, potable water, and trash service. The best time to visit is from mid-June to mid-September, with average temperatures ranging from 50-70 degrees Fahrenheit during the day and 30-40 degrees Fahrenheit at night. Visitors should note that the campground is located at an altitude of 9,500 feet, so it may be cooler than surrounding areas.
