The area is also known for its wildlife, including bald eagles and black bears. The campground provides picnic tables, fire rings, and vault toilets. Reservations are not accepted, and campsites are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. The best time to visit is during the summer months, with average temperatures ranging from the mid-70s to low 80s.
