Ellery Creek Campground in California offers scenic high-alpine camping near Tioga Pass and Yosemite’s eastern entrance. There are 12 first-come, first-served established campsites—no reservations or permits needed, but a small nightly fee applies. Amenities include pit toilets, picnic tables, and fire rings; no drinking water or hookups, so bring your own supplies. RVs can use the campground, though spaces are limited and unpaved. Nestled beside a tranquil creek with granite peaks towering nearby, it’s ideal for hiking, fishing, and exploring nearby trails like the Lundy Canyon and Gaylor Lakes. Best visited July–September when Tioga Pass is open and snow-free.
