Reservations are recommended via Recreation.gov, especially in peak summer; fees apply. Amenities include potable water, vault toilets, fire rings with grills, and picnic tables. RVs are welcome (up to 45 ft), but there are no hookups. Campers enjoy a serene, alpine forest setting at 8,000 feet elevation, ideal for fishing, stargazing, and nearby hiking trails like South Lake and Sabrina Basin. The best time to visit is June–September for mild weather and full campground services.
