This earth dam was designed by SCS (LEON) ROBINSON PROJ ENG. in 1970 for the primary purpose of flood risk reduction along Boggy Creek. With a dam height of 18 feet and a length of 1650 feet, it provides a maximum storage capacity of 3347 acre-feet and serves a drainage area of 19,300 acres.
The dam has a low hazard potential and is currently not rated for its condition assessment. While it is not regulated by the state, it undergoes regular inspections every 5 years, with the last inspection date recorded in April 2016.
