Built in 1937, this earth dam stands at a height of 61.3 feet and has a hydraulic height of 57.8 feet, with a storage capacity of 8,550 acre-feet. The dam serves multiple purposes, including flood control and irrigation, and is regulated by the Idaho Department of Water Resources.

With a hazard potential rated as high and a condition assessment deemed fair, C Ben Ross is subject to regular inspections to ensure its structural integrity and safety. The dam features a controlled spillway with a width of 35 feet and outlet gates consisting of slide (sluice gate) mechanisms. In case of emergencies, the dam is equipped with an Emergency Action Plan (EAP) that was last revised in 2014.
