Fir Group Campground in California’s Los Padres National Forest offers established group campsites (no dispersed camping) in a peaceful, forested setting of pines and oaks at 6,600 feet elevation.

Reservations are required via Recreation.gov, and fees apply. Amenities include vault toilets, picnic tables, fire rings with grills, and non-potable water (bring your own or treat). RVs up to 20 feet are allowed, but no hookups are available. Ideal for group outings, the campsite offers access to nearby trails like the Tumamait Trail and panoramic views from nearby Mt. Pinos. Best visited late spring to early fall, when temperatures are mild and wildflowers bloom.
