Reservations are required, and fees apply. Amenities include vault toilets, potable water (seasonal), fire rings with grills, and picnic tables. RVs are permitted but there are no hookups. Set in a shaded, forested setting of tall pines near the South Fork Stanislaus River, the campground provides a peaceful, rustic vibe ideal for groups. Nearby activities include hiking the Pinecrest Lake Trail, fishing, and swimming. Late spring through early fall is the best time to visit, as access may be limited by snow in winter.
